Logging the abundant forestry resources of Vancouver Island, has provided the lumber for the homes we live in. It also provided railway ties that connect our nation, ship building and today it provides wood that heat many of our homes. This design honours an industry that helped to forge the Island we call home. The axe in a log round is an image many Islanders will relate to for years to come.
